In the rare event of an unpredictable complication (for example a blood transfusion, under 1% likelihood given HoLEP's laser cauterization, or prolonged intensive care for uncontrolled pre-existing conditions), any additional specialized hospital resources or outside medical fees are not included in the package.

Catheter removal and discharge timing depend on your individual recovery. In some cases the doctor may recommend keeping the catheter a few extra days for optimal healing. This does not mean a longer hospital stay: you are discharged to recover at home either way.
